we arrived at Budapest

last saturday we arrived at Budapest in one of our home exchanges, this time with Mihaly who share with us the marvellous cherry tree house...
Wrapped by a second world war building we discovered a sunny and paceful flat he arranged himself.

Once the wooden jewel was discovered we decided to change money and to visit the first shopping center to buy something to eat...

A paradise for Jep!

lots of different kinds of flours and pastas, rare vegetables!! ... we realised that the east country that we expected to find wasn't so different from Catalunya, at least with the shops that were Mango, Stradivarius, Intimissimi...
 



we wanted to see the river from the earth and to cross one of their bridges but the wind didn't allow us to cross the DUNA...
we go for a walk and we found the spring fair!!!




our first impressions...
nice people with a strange language.
Definitively english, french, italian, spanish and catalan are not enough...
We have missed to spend some ours chatting with our Mihaly to understand exactly how does they think...
they open the shops from 6 to 21h everyday!
even on sundays!!!
they don't have machines in the metro but plenty of people who are aware that you have your ticket. 

We couldn't imagine that we would find such a rich country in culture and architecture...
we can't imagine how comunism has affect to all this cultures...
